Student Clubs

Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts  – Open to students in grades 1st through 8th.  For more information about Cub/Boy Scouts, go to

Carpenter Club  – Volunteer organization for 7th and 8th graders that works with local non-profit organizations on a monthly basis.

EDGE Youth Group - Middle school youth group for St. Joseph Catholic Church.

KJOE Team  – Student staff members for St. Joseph School’s inhouse television station write and deliver the news on a daily basis.

Math Club – Open to all middle school students, the Math Club competes annually in the MathCounts competition

National Junior Honor Society  – Open to 8th grade students who have  3.75 cumulative GPA in core subjects and are evaluated on the basis of leadership, service, citizenship and character.

4-H Club  – 4-H is a national organization that helps develop leadership skills, become better citizens through service learning projects and develop life skills while participating in science, engineering and technology, healthy living and citizenship activities.

Music and Drama Club - Open to students 3rd through 8th grade.  The Music and Drama Club gives students additional performance opportunities and enhances our school’s music programs.

Running Club - The SJS Running Club is all about health, fitness and having fun.  Every week students from 2nd through 8th grade meet on McCarthy Field to run, jog and walk.  Running Club members also participate in local Fun Runs and 5K races.
