Target Stores: Take Charge of Education

Box Tops for Education

Community Coffee Labels

St. Joseph School participates in many community and special programs which can benefit our fundraising efforts. Here are listed the many ways you can help St. Joseph just by shopping! Click on any link at the left to learn more about how you can help!

Community Coffee product bar code labels are being collected for St. Joseph's library. We have done this for a few years, and we do earn money to help keep us going. All we need are the bar code labels which are mailed in to be counted. We are competing with other area schools, both public and private, and we need your labels to help us win for our area. We did very well last year, in fact, we had collected the most labels. It takes a lot of labels to make any money at all, so we really do need your help so that we can earn even more money!

We also have a program called "Books and Birthdays". Parents or anyone can donate a book or money to buy a book to honor a child on his/her birthday. We will place an appropriate label in the book honoring the birthday child, and he/she can check the book out first. The book will be presented in the child's classroom, he/she can check it out first.

We will be glad to accept a donation or a book as a memeorial, also. We will place an appropriate plate in the book and notify the family of the gift.

"Take Charge of Education", launched in April 1997, brings the Target tradition of giving to the heart of our communities. Since the program was launched, Target has donated over $154 million through fundraising dollars, including more than $14.7 million during the recent September 2005 donation.

Through the Take Charge of Education program, Target donates an amount equal to 1% of REDcard(SM) (Target Visa and Target Card) purchases made at Target and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the eligible K-12 school of your choice.* For some schools, that's over $10,000 a year."
