Msgr. Michael Duca will be our new bishop. He is to be ordained on Monday,
May 19th, at the Shreveport Convention Center at noon.

School will be closed for the day, so that our families can show their support for our new Bishop by attending the ordination.

Please join us in celebrating and welcoming Bishop Elect Duca on May 19th!

Calendar revisions for
the end of the school year

Students in K3 - 7th Grades will have full days of classes
May 20 - 23.
There will be no school on
May 19 - Bishop's Ordination or May 26 - Memorial Day.
Full days will resume on
May 27 & 28
with a half day on
May 29.

There will be no After-School Care on May 28th or 29th. Please make other arrangements for your children.

Tina Kallenberg, our 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher, is one of three teachers from Caddo Parish to have her application accepted by LSUS for an American Studies Fellowship. She will attend the July 9-16, 2008 Summer Teacher Institute offered at Colonial Williamsburg.

Ryan McWhorter and Holly Thurman took 1st and 2nd place, respectively, in the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Essay Contest on The Meaning of an American Patriot. Ryan won $100, and his essay will be forwarded to the Diocesan Chairman and entered in the state competition. Holly won $50.00.

Joshua Ursua is the Times Regional Spelling Bee Champion, and he will compete in the national spelling bee in Washington, DC!
